Look what the Easter Bunny left us! ;o)

It was a very good 'Good Friday' for us!! The Bubble finally popped and at 4.19pm on Friday 22nd April 2011, we welcomed Naomi Grace into the world and into our family. She weighed 7lb 12oz and measured 21 1/2 inches long.
It was all relatively quick and easy and as we were the only patients on the ward, had the undivided attention of the wonderful staff in the birthing centre at Coshocton Memorial Hospital ... just a 2 minute walk from our house!!
Naomi got some cuddles from her mummy and daddy before her big sister arrived less than an hour after she was born ...
After Abigail met her little sister ... she got a new t-shirt ... talk about proud! ;o)
Although we could have stayed another night ... we headed home after 24 hours as Jenny's mum was due to leave for the UK ... Naomi was all snuggled up and ready to go!
Naomi means 'delightful' and since she's been home she has been an absolute delight ... and after only a couple of nights got the hang of only waking up twice instead of every other hour ... what a star!
Abigail has also slept through every night since we brought her little sister home ... having had a disruptive month or so beforehand ... it must have been because she knew something was about to change ... and now it has things are getting back to normal!! She loves her little sister ... always wanting cuddles and helping out with everything ... including giving her a wash ... see below!
Thank you so much to all of you who have phoned, emailed, sent cards and presents congratulating us already on our little Easter bundle ... we're feeling really loved! We have had meals brought round to us every evening this week, flowers from one of our supporting churches in the UK (thank you Emmanuel Church, Weymouth!) and even some international stamps from our Postie here so we can be in touch with home about our good news!! Here are a couple of cute shots of the girl of the moment!
Congratulations also from us to the Bagwells, Richards, Hogebooms, Achas and Smiths all who have had their own little bundle's of joy within a few days either side of us ... all in the UK!

When Nana came to stay ...

As you may have noticed in the last blog, Jenny's mum has come to visit us again over her Easter break ... and to meet her newest grandchild (whenever he/she decides to make an appearance in the world!!). It's been a great help for Jenny as it has meant she has been able to have her afternoon sleeps again while Abigail and Nana have been playing and getting up to mischief together ... very nice this late in the pregnancy!!
We managed a couple of trips up to Amish country as well as pottering about around town ... we didn't want to travel too far, just in case!! Jenny's mum was also able to see how our church here in Coshocton (www.coshoctonchristian.org) were so lovely to us in the lead up to Bubble's arrival ... showering us with 'diapers' ... 'nappies' to you Brit readers!
Nana also celebrated her birthday while she was here ... Jenny & Abigail made her a chocolate cake one morning and then Jenny decorated it as a paint palette as her mum enjoys painting!! As Bubble hadn't yet appeared ... we were able to give her some pressies in the morning, enjoy the cake at lunchtime and take her out for dinner in the evening!!
As you can see a certain little person was very eager to help blow out the candles!! ;o)
Having Nana here proved far too much excitement for some (see below) ... very cute ... curled up with Nana under Jenny's new quilt one afternoon!! Looks like we'll have no problem leaving them together when we disappear off to the hospital when Bubble 'pops' ... as Abigail tells us that is what is going to happen!

Jumping Around!

With some money we were recently given we decided to treat ourselves ... and especially Abigail to a trampoline ... as you can see someone is super happy with the whole idea!!! We figured it would be something that we could also use in building friendships wherever we live in the years to come too!!
It was a joint effort (as always!) in the construction stage ... including Jenny's mum who arrived last week for another visit and to help us with the imminent arrival of Bubble!!
Mark was in charge of the assembly ...
Abigail was in her 'helpful' element too ... although towards the end just wanted to get up and jump!!
We all pulled our weight when putting the springs in ...
Abigail found it amusing to hide underneath as well ... until she could get on the top!!
Once it was all ready ... Mark put his feet up ...
Jenny and Abigail goofed around ... and chilled out on the trampoline (didn't make Bubble appear any quicker though!)
Even Nana Kukhu had a go ... lots of giggles coming from both of the cheeky girls!!
All in a fun Saturday afternoon in Ohio!! ;o)
